Chris Higgins is a theatre practitioner, singer and artist facilitator.

Currently developing The Map’s leadership programmes through the medium of opera and dance, supporting creative practitioners to develop their practice, and devising new song theatre with Helen Chadwick.

Believes in the power and excitement of creating unexpected connections across the worlds of art, work and learning

Key career events Co-founding The Map; working alongside cultural institutions such as Les Arts Florissants, The Wallace Collection, Tate; pioneering HIV/AIDS education for young people across the UK, pioneering arts based training with practitioners and business in Mumbai.

Fiona Lesley is a theatre practitioner, poet and artist-trainer.

Currently her focus is on the development of The MAP’s intercultural training offer and it’s leadership work, it’s piloting of Map Public Experience Art and the publication of a new volume of poetry called Take Five.

She believes in the power of invention as an unlimited source for developing new ways of thinking and working together. Reading and writing poetry is her touchstone.

Key career events have been setting up The Map, her work as Education Director on Shakespeare Unplugged for the RNT and The Beckett Season for The Barbican and The Gate, her extensive collaborations developing new practice in Japan India and the USA, being selected to be part of Marge Piercy’s 2010 intensive poetry workshop
