Martin Heaney is a facilitator, consultant and a visiting lecturer in Applied Theatre.
He currently is a project manager for Creative Partnerships and consulting on the development of Creative Learning work with Hertfordshire County Council. He specialises in training in creative approaches to evalaution. He is also currently completing a PhD in Drama.
He believes in the importance of theorising and documenting applied arts practice as a means to advancing political change through greater participation in the arts and learning.
Key career events include publishing research and evaluation reports on large-scale programmes of school and curricular change through creative learning (for DfES Regional Partnerships and the London Borough of Newham) and as an actor, performing in a Fringe First winning play ‘All the Way Home’ in Edinburgh.
