The Rehearsal Room Workshops
The Map are offering a fresh programme of workshops for those in management roles with responsibility for developing the performance of others. These workshops draw on the ethos and practice of a rehearsal room, translating creative approaches to improving performance into a learning experience relevant to the workplace. Each workshop invokes a set of skills used in rehearsal but exploring questions relevant to those delivering across sectors.
The Art of Developing Performance
- Actor’s toolkit: How can I reach my audience? Designed for people looking to develop confidence in how they present themselves and the messages they want others to understand and act upon.
- Director’s toolkit: How can I give feedback that makes a difference? This workshop explores techniques for giving and inviting feedback that will develop individual performance. It focuses on conversations that can have a dynamic impact and build strong working relationships.
- Effective Dialogue: How can I handle a difficult scenario? This workshop is designed to develop communication skills in challenging situations. It aims to support honest conversations which foster attitudes of mutual respect.
- Reviewing Performance: How can I give an honest and inspiring analysis? Designed for managers or leaders with responsibility for conducting performance reviews, this workshop uses drama-based scenarios and reflective activities to ensure reviews are clear, valuable and motivating.
All these workshops can be tailored to the specific needs of any organisation, and more detail on individual workshops is available.
